This website is the companion site for the Free Android App “Guftugoo In Style” and Free iOS App “My Diwaan & Shayari Collection”
We have created two free Apps; An Android App “Guftugoo In Style” and an iOS App “My Diwaan & Shayari Collection”. These Apps are especially designed for beginners of Urdu Shayari (poetry) and follow the Goldilock’s Rule of “Just Right”. The content in the Apps is neither too cumbersome nor too light for a beginner.
The Apps are curated with the finest poetry of the legends of Urdu Shayari like Mirza Ghalib, Meer Taqi Meer, Sheikh Ibrahim Zauq and Allama Iqbal.
The poetry in the Android App is written in three scripts. It is phonetically written in English and also written in Urdu and Hindi. The poetry is formatted in bite size sentences for EZ (easy) memorization and recitation and is curated in popular categories with keywords for quick access. The reader can deliver the punch line with the romantic, witty, poignant and sarcastic Shayari in any Guftugoo (conversation).
The iOS App is a 2 in 1 App that allows users to add their favorite shayari and save it on the device. It is pre-loaded with a curated selection of poetry from the App “Guftugoo In Style”. The poetry in My Diwaan & Shayari Collection is phonetically written in English and contains a brief translation in English. The app also contains the meanings of difficult words.
Both the Apps are intuitive and can be used as a teaching tool for Urdu Shayari. They are great Apps for beginners of Urdu Shayari and useful reference of selected poetry for the avid followers of Shayari. The pages on this website contain the free audio files of the Shayari in the Apps. The goal of the Apps is to provide the user a tool to enhance a guftugoo and make a lasting impression with shayari.
